100, 000 March in Favor of Immigrant Rights

Police estimated that more than 100,000 marchers came from all over the Chicago area, many carrying -- or wearing -- Mexican and American flags. The protest was spirited, but peaceful, and there were no reported arrests or incidents.

UPDATED: here is a link to the Chicago Tribune article on the march: http://tinyurl.com/nfyej

A police estimate of 100,000! Must have been more. Go, Chicago!!!!

Start thinking about next Saturday. There is an antiwar march at the Federal Building in Downtown Seattle starting at 1 p.m. Come out with Stand Up Seattle and support Kevin Benderman, the Conscientious Objector in the Ft. Lewis Brig. We're building another bannering at Ft. Lewis on March 25th.
