New Atlas' Brian Berletic describes the current U.S. foreign policy situation very well. He attributes the breakdown of both domestic and foreign policy to striving of elites of the "Modern U.S. Empire." The wanton warmongering that the slipping hegemon indulges in is failing, says Mr. Berletic. He recommends that the U.S. stop "imposing itself" on the rest of the world and begin to work with other nations to fulfill the needs of all.
Capitalism is the failing system Mr. Berletic describes but does not name. What will persuade capitalism to give up its massively destructive spoils system? The only way it will is when the global working class consciously unites together to build socialism.

Capitalism must be dismantled. Mr. Berletic cites the failed Roman Empire as a cautionary example for the U.S. While in those times, it would have been impossible to meet the needs of 8 billion people. Today we have the required technology. The choice is stark. Allowing the murder of 30,000 innocent Palestinians is just a preview. If we don't build socialism, capitalism will destroy humanity.
