The Israeli army launched a campaign of mass arrests in the city of Nablus and the nearby camps Monday morning.
At least 20 young people were taken to unknown locations, most from Al Ein Refugee Camp. This is the largest invasion of its kind in the camp during the current Intifada.
Local security sources that those arrested were first blindfolded and bound. They include Hatem Aldamouni, Marwan Hamdi, Anas Mohammed Hassan Hamdan, Hassan Khattab, Moatassem Khattab, Raed Abu Daoud, Muhammad Shehadeh, and Bilal Masri, Iyad and Ihab Suesh.
In the Askar Refugee Camp Israeli forces arrested Ali Ahmed Abu Zir for the second time. Residents of the camp told PNN that Israeli soldiers broke into numerous homes and conducted invasive searches. The Suesh family said that in addition to losing two of their family members to arrests, Israeli soldiers also stole cash and documents during after storming their home.
Amember of the People's Committee of Ein Camp Services that that the operation was the largest carried out in the eastern Nablus refugee camp in years.
