An Interview with Hope...... Posted by Ziad B. on 2008/08/30 2:33 pm

Three days ago , me and my friends had the opportunity to be a part in one of the most wonderful experiences. We made interviews with the people who were on board of the "FREE GAZA" boats.

In addition to making the first step in breaking the siege , they wanted to send a message to the Palestinians , that they did not forget about us , and they care about us and willing to do whatever it takes to help us.

So many sacrifices were made, some of them received threats , while others lost their jobs ,but they did not care , all they care about is to be here in Gaza and make the change.

One of the questions that we asked them was about the media, most of them said that the media in their countries does not show the true facts , while few of them answered in the opposite way.

Another thing that bothered them is that they did not have the chance to go and deal with ordinary people , they went with fishermen on boats and went to some camps , but they are still looking for more participation with people .

Most of them are gone now , but some are going to stay for about another 14 days.

Having these heroes in Gaza made our hearts full of hope , enthusiasm and love.

A portion of light

I agree with you Ziad that the 2 boats of breaking the siege shed a portion of light on Palestinians lives as they were about to lose hope.

When I met some of them, I was impressed of their belief in us, in our issue and how they took the risk to support us.

It was obvious that they have the same honest message to Palestinians, they all came to say to us "You're not alone".

They meant sending another message to the whole world which is "You have the power to make a change and to break this siege".

We all appreciate their support and the sacrifice they are willing to offer for us...

As Ziad said...They are true heroes and they shared in building more Palestinian heroes by their support and love.

Thanks alot Zyad and Reem for sharing your experience with us, i also had the chance to talk to 2 of them but for few time and wish if i could spend more time.
What they did was one of the greatest thing that would support the palestinian cause and we the people in Gaza, because it gave us much hope and that there are still great people outside who would sacrifice for us.
Hopefully the siege will end soon.
Thanks again Guys for your efforts.
Nasser
