Palestine at the UW: Ali Abunimah March 7th 6-8pm

The Crisis In Israel/Palestine: Towards a Just solution

What: The current situation in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories, followed by Q&A

Who: Ali Abunimah – Author of the book "One Country: A bold proposal to end the Israeli-Palestinian Impasse," lauded by The Economist as "A way forward, advocated skillfully and interestingly".

When: 6:00PM Sunday, March 7

Where: Seig 134, UW Seattle

Mr. Abunimah will review the current situation in Palestine-Israel, in particular attention to the blockade of Gaza, creeping apartheid in the West Bank and Israel, the failure of the peace process to produce a two-state solution, and future prospects for a just peace based on full equality for Palestinians and Israeli Jews.

Ali Abunimah is author of "One Country: A Bold Proposal to End the Israeli-Palestinian Impasse" (www.amazon.com/One-Country-Proposal-Israeli-Palestinian-Impasse/dp/0805080341) and has contributed to numerous other volumes and written hundreds of articles on the question of Palestine. He was a 2008-2009 Palestine Center Fellow. He is co-founder of The Electronic Intifada, an award-winning online publication about Palestine and the Palestine-Israeli conflict.
