"Cantwell voted to authorize military action in Iraq in 2002. Of the three Democrats in the Washington congressional delegation to vote that way, Cantwell stands alone today as having expressed no regrets. Congressmen Norm Dicks of Bremerton and Adam Smith of Tacoma both have said their votes were a mistake.
Cantwell also has not joined other former war supporters such as Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry, who last month said the U.S. troops should leave Iraq this year."
SO CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHY THE DEMS IN THE ARTICLE ARE VOTING FOR MARIA?
WHAT DOES BEING A DEMOCRACT MEAN IF YOU CONTINUE TO VOTE FOR PEOPLE WHO VOTE TO KILL INNOCENT CIVILIANS AND AMERICAN SOLDIERS FOR A LIE?

The Northwest Progressive Institute has a blog column excoriating Maria Cantwell's pro-war, pro-Bush stand, taken very publicly in the Seattle Times yesterday. But then finishes it's blog column with this: "We will continue to support Maria Cantwell, but unless she changes her views on the administration's handling of the Iraq conflict, that support will be given reluctantly."
Do they really think she cares if the support is given reluctantly? Do they really think the people of Iraq will take that subtle distinction when they think about their dying families and country?
They need to take the "progressive" out of their name!!!!!!
