Palestine: How Long Has This Been Going On?
TweetFrom an amazing photo essay ("Those People in Gaza: Where Do They Come From, And Why Are They So Mad?") at Lawrence of Cyberia Blog, one small portion below
Jaffa, Palestine: British Soldiers clubbing Palestinian dignitary Musa Kazim Pasha al-Husseini at the 27 October 1933 demonstration against British policy on Zionist immigration into Palestine. Musa Kazim Pasha al-Husseini died six months later, 27 March 1934, at the age of eighty-one, having never recovered from the effects of this beating. (via Walid Khalidi, Before Their Diaspora). 2. Unless otherwise noted, the photos are from Palestine Remembered, and should not be reused without attribution to that site.
