Last month, the State of Washington announced a date of execution for Cal Brown. This will be the first execution in the state in nine years, and it comes at a time when most states are turning away from the death penalty and re-evalutating their priorities for public safety.
WCADP and our partners around the state will hold vigils on the evening of September 9th, before Brown will be executed just after midnight on September 10th. Here is the information we have thus far on vigils:
