Doctors & Nurses in Gaza Protest Shortage of Medicines -- Maan News

GAZA CITY (Ma’an) – Doctors and nurses organized a rally Wednesday in front of Red Cross offices in Gaza City to protest the lack of medical supplies in the coastal enclave.

Representatives from different Palestinian factions joined the demonstrations as protesters held posters appealing to the international community and the Palestinian Authority to help end the crisis.

They said that a serious crisis could occur if vital medicines were not provided to hospitals.

Yousif Al-Mudallal, director of the bureau of employees at the Ministry of Health in Gaza, told a news conference that several patients may die if the crisis is not resolved as soon as possible.

Ashraf Al-Qidra, director of the ministry of health’s public relations department, confirmed that 180 types of drugs and 200 types of medical tools have been completely exhausted.
