US Raids Tikrit University (Again)

U.S. forces raid student dormitories in Tikrit University

Tikrit, Jan 14, (VOI) - U.S. forces raided the students dormitories in Tikrit University and detained four students and an administrative official, a university source said on Sunday.
"U.S. troops attacked last night the Tikrit University's dormitories of the engineering and agronomy colleges in al-Arbaeen street and arrested four students and administrative official Bakr al-Samaraie," the source told the independent news agency Voices of Iraq (VOI) on condition of anonymity.
The American forces, the source added, went on the rampage and destroyed furniture and electrical equipments inside the two-storey building and assaulted a number of students.
The U.S. troops left the place at dawn today by did not release the students or the official.
The raid is the fourth by U.S. soldiers on Tikrit University. Each time they detain a number of students on charges of involvement in armed activities against U.S. patrols in Tikrit.
