A few people made it down to the base at 6am this morning and were allowed into the trial which is schedulae to start at 9am. Some other people arrived at 6am and were told to go eat donuts and come back at 8am.
They along with about 50 other people who had been waiting were then told that only 42 people would be allowed into the trial.
To make the story short, base commander, 3 star General Dubick (sp?) decided at the last minute not to allow an overfow room as he had ad the pre-trial hearing.
I'm held up in the Starbucks next to exit #119 where the majority of people seem to be gathering. Some one just came in and said that people are still being turned away from the trial. Another person said she watched a Fox News camera man get in but
an AP reporter and a Post Intelligencer Reporter were turned away.
Celebrity alert: Sean Penn is having to wait a long time for his latte. Never criticize the latte left again!
King-5 has a truck out in the parking lot and I believe the satellite truck belongs to Fox-News.
The "Burma Shave Brigade" has begun to assemble on the various freeway on and off ramps around here.
There were two large banners on the exit #119 overpass and about 50 people at 8am. If the traffic in this
coffee shop is an indication there are a lot more now. The official rally doesn't begin until 11am.

It's a BUMMER you didn't get in. Yesterday they didn't have their "system" set up at all. The five of us got to the gates at 4:30 and they waved us in to the visitor's center just inside the gates. There they gave us passes. This morning we got to the visitor's center outside the gates at 4:45 and waited in line (they told us yesterday to do this) There IS an overflow room which is where almost all the press is WITH the 42 seats for the public. The courtroom only seats 20 and only a very people are in there, mostly military. If you are still up and reading this Ehren will be on first thing in the morning, expected time for testimony two hours, then a friend who is his only witness, a character witness, then closing arguements. Eric Seitz told us it would all be over tomorrow, possibly even the verdict by the end of the day. If you want to make it in, get there EARLY at the visitors center. They open at 600 then you get a paper with a number. Then you go back at 8 to get your pass in. At least that is the much more organized manner in which they sat it up today worked.
Hi, Robin. Dang! We didn't see this. I'm so sorry. We were down at Sen. Murray's office all day yesterday and were pretty tapped out by last night.
Good luck to you and thanks so much for the note. We will have to see what happens from up here. Had to go back to work today.
